Lost World’s Fair: Atlantis

In late 2010, Microsoft was preparing to release Internet Explorer 9. One of the new features that deserved flaunting was IE’s support for webfonts. (That was a big deal back then!) Jason Santa Maria recruited me along with Naz Hamid and the guys at Paravel to devise ways to show off fonts on the web. We dreamed up The Lost World’s Fairs: a fictional series of poster-style pages that highlighted typography on the web.
My contribution was a oceanic journey to Atlantis—18,123 pixels of adventure to the bottom of the sea. (We now know leagues don’t measure depth. C’est la vie.)
